My Review
A funny, bold, and brilliant classic, perfect for talking about the numbers of days in a week, a month, and a year - and the number of penguins you can fit in a filing cabinet! There is Maths a-plenty in this zany and slightly off the wall approach to talking about numbers! And it's funny, too!
Heads Up!
The story also touches on issues of climate change - worth knowing if you have children who are anxious about this, but also if you want a light hearted way in to the topic.
Publisher Review
The penguins are back, in a new format and with a fresh new cover! The family in 365 Penguins finds a penguin mysteriously delivered to their door every day for a year. At first they’re cute, but with every passing day, the penguins pile up―along with the family’s problems. Feeding, cleaning, and housing the penguins becomes a monumental task. They’re noisy and smelly, and they always hog the bathroom! And who on earth is sending these kwak-ing critters? Bright, striking illustrations with lots of opportunity for counting (and lots of laughs), 365 Penguins has become a perennial wintertime favourite since it first came out in 2006.
