My Review

Some might find the prose of 'Kissed By The Moon' a little cloying - if a book with a refrain 'May you, my baby....' is not your bag, then give it a miss.  But if that doesn't deter you, then consider hunting down this classic Australian board book that is a lullaby over a sleeping baby, a parent wishing for their child's life to be full of connection and wonder and adventure. I love the way it celebrates the natural world and encourages us to prioritise enabling our children to experience its wildness and its beauty. The illustrations are gentle and sleepy, and the lilting prose is perfect for bedtime.

Heads Up!

Publisher Review

'May you, my baby, sleep softly at night, and when dawn lights the world, may you wake up to birdsong'. Part poem, part lullaby, this gentle story celebrates a baby's wonder at our beautiful world. From Australia's favorite picture-book creator, Alison Lester, comes a timeless book to share and to treasure.
